The game begins with Johnny being tracked down to his local bar after ripping off a dealer. Any attempt to talk your way out of the situation leads to instant death.

Interact with the bottle of beer to pick it up, then use it on the countertop to smash it. Next, pick up the ashes from the ashtray, and use them on the thugs behind you.

After the fight is over, pick up the card on the floor.

Pick up the knife from the wall, then interact with the light's pull: chain to take it.

Interact with underneath the couch to find a key and a quarter. Use the key on the window to escape.

Pick up the gum stuck to the underside of the window ledge.

Use the ladder to climb down to the street.

Go right, and talk to the shady looking character.

Choose "I'm looking for some information", then "Do you know anything about Thug Inc?". Pick any of the first four options for the next two questions, then "How small a favor?", and finally "Alright, I guess I can do that." In exchange for the man's information on Thug Inc.'s secret location, you agree to look for his missing Zippo lighter, which he dropped in the sewers.

Conversation over, use your knife on the drain to open the cover, then interact with it to go down into the sewer.

There's nothing to do in the sewers just yet, but you need to visit in order to trigger an event in the alley.
Use the ladder to return to the street, then go into the alley.

As you enter, a bag of trash is dropped from the window (it only drops after visiting the sewer). Use the knife on the trash: bag to find a Scrabble tile, a burger, a screwdriver and a wrench.

Leave the alley, and go back down the sewer.

Use the wrench on the pipe near the ladder to remove it.

Interact with the large round sewer opening/hole to climb inside. Use the burger outside the pipe to lure the crocodile out.

Use the pipe on the crocodile to try and knock it out. Johnny ends up trapped at the end of the pipe.

Use the wrench on the wheel nearby to loosen it, then interact with it to turn it.

Next, use the coin on the panel at the bottom to unscrew it. Use the knife to remove the cover. Look at the electrical box to get a closer view.

Use the G2 Scrabble tile on the missing button slot to replace it. Interact with it to flush the crocodile out of the pipe.

Crocodile gone, walk to the left to discover a mountain of treasure.

Sitting on top of the pile of coins is the gangsta's lost zippo. Combine the chewing gum with the chain, then use it on the lighter to get it.

Go back right and use the ladder to return to the street.

Talk to the shady looking character, and choose "About your lighter...", "I found it", then "Thug Inc: where is it" to learn the location; Ogton, between 3rd and 7th Street.

Conversation over, a bus will now be available at the other end of the street for you to go there, but Johnny doesn't have enough money to ride it.

Go into the liquor store.

Pick up the bottle of 40 in the foreground, then use it on the crack in the wall to the right; Johnny will slide it through the wall. Leave the store.

Go around the corner and interact with the crack in the wall to get the bottle of 40. Give it to the homeless man nearby; he'll drink it and pass out.

Interact with his can of coins to take his money.

Go back into the store and pick up the seltzer tablets from the tray on the counter. Talk to the owner.

Choose "I'd like to buy these Fizzy Tabs", then "This conversation has grown painful and boring. See ya."

Leave the store.

Interact with the trash can to find a stale loaf of bread, then interact with the ladder to climb back up. Combine the Seltzer tablets and the stale bread, then give the bread to the pigeon. After the pigeon explodes, interact with the nest to find a hairpin.

Go down the ladder, and use the hairpin on the parking meter to get enough money for Johnny's bus ticket.

Walk left, to the bus stop.

Use the parking meter money on the bus to purchase a ticket. Johnny will then travel to the secret hide out.

After arriving, the only thing to do is walk right, into the alley, ending the game. (Pressing spacebar to skip also works).
